I am a student at the University of Bristol, UK, studying Geography. I am doing some research into the motivation for taking part in charity car rallies and their impact, for my final year dissertation.
Adventure tourism, in particular charity rallies, have become increasingly popular with more and more being set up every year to destinations all over the globe. They are documented through blogs, websites and various television programs, even as far as following celebrities like Ewan Mcgregor around the world.
However, there is very little research into these events, as they are such a recent phenomenon so, with your help, this dissertation aims to scratch the surface of understanding the motivation behind the organising and the competing of the rallies and the impacts they have.
The following is a link to a questionnaire aimed at anyone who has participated in a rally, whether they completed it or not. I would be really grateful to anyone who has a moment to complete it, or just for any comments on this forum.
