True to form, like last year we will have live tracking on the Team D.I.T.T. car (GPRS signal pending!). After checking out the GPRS service across our route, it seems that only Russia is likely to pose a problem.
I’m using Google Latitude to do the tracking this year – if you have a decent spec mobile phone that is able to run Google Maps, then you can track your own mobile by heading to http://www.google.com/latitude and following the (fairly simple) instructions.
Please note that this does use some data transfer, so make sure you have a roaming data pack from your mobile provider otherwise it could end up cositng a small fortune!
